ROSSLAND: REAL TOWN. REAL CLOSE.
DRYLAND DOESN’T HAVE TO BE…DRY.
Rossland, BC is a small alpine city of 3,500. And the best part is it’s only 4 kms from Legacy.
Every year, active people make the move to Rossland because of its city-style offerings coupled with fresh mountain air.
The historic town was built in the late 1800’s for the gold rush and has grown alongside Red Mountain in a sane and responsible way. Our vast terrain, reliable snow, and modern amenities would qualify Red Mountain as a Mega-resort in terms of size of the mountain, but we have worked and planned diligently to retain the charm and vibe of yesteryear. It’s no wonder The New York Times voted RED and Rossland #8 on their “Best Places To Visit in 2013.”
Fitness facilities, skating rinks, a movie theatre, sports shops, book stores…a session at Legacy isn’t the usual “ski, dryland, tune skis, repeat”. We believe that racers learn more—and go faster—when they’re having fun and you’d be hard pressed to find a venue that is more fun than Legacy. Rossland itself can be an island of calm for racers as well as their parents and coaches.
Aside from its picturesque front street (and multiple legit espresso offerings) Rossland is home to world-class physiotherapists, massage therapists, athletic therapists and more. It has a regional hospital located just 12 kms down the road with six orthopedic surgeons, 72 physicians, an on-site helipad, and all of the equipment you could possibly want in the event of an emergency.
We’re serious about racing. And we’re even more serious about safety.
